No Way! A "Jewish Mother" iPhone App

If you had a doubt that you can't find anything you wish in the iPhone App Store, meet the "Jewish mother" App. I could not believe it when i saw it. Of course this is not a free app [iTunes link here http://appsfire.com/b7 ]

When i Tweeted it yesterday many asked what it does? Well nothing except throwing a few funny typical quotes that we all love so much. By the way if the founders want to do some more business they should create a version of the Askhenaz mother and the Sefaradic Mother in order to make it even.

The interesting part came in the comments i received. The funniest was:

"An app that auto calls you every two hours"

Terminator 4: THE vc question

Terminator is for me a milestone movie. The kind of movie that change the way movies are made after. I still remember the terrific experience of the first 2 terminators by James Cameron, that changed for ever the way sci-fi movies would be made (like matrix did also a few years later).

I recently saw that movie and was pleasantly surprised. Timing and dramatic pressure is well orchestrated and effects are stunning. I also liked the actor that takes the terminator role. I think we ll see him a lot on screen. However i have a question i can't help thinking about

Who is the stupid VC that backed Skynet? [if you have not seen the movie you can't perceive the whole point of this question]

McCain logos: this had to happen

I spotted the logo case recently. On my way back to the airport in NYC i saw a McCain ad that was surfing on that trend. I googled McCain ads and here is what i found. A full site dedicated to McCain potatoes built on the elections. With Videos from PNN (Potatoe News Network). Fun!



I am sure a new brand of Chips will come up called Obama.

Nicolas Sarkozy is a sex symbol in Israel

There is a lot of negative press in France around Nicolas Sarkozy. Too much in my opinion. Actually there is always negative press in France when you try to change things and in France a lot of things need to be changed. However in Israel, some people think he's pretty sexy and make very strong declarations. Below a video collected by a friend of mine that is quite "refreshing". Maybe he would have stayed a little more had he seen it? :) See for yourself below.

I am not sure you would hear that in France. I have not pushed it yet and the videos has been watch already close to 700 times..

By the way the annotations/bubbles on the video were made directly out of YouTube that released the new feature a few hours ago, shooting in PlyMedia's field an israeli startup

The Laptop/Bathroom situation

I wanted to write this post for a long time but i have just read this great article in Wired about what you should/could do when you work in a cafe with your laptop and that suddenly mother nature calls you to your duties. Working myself often in Cafes in Israel or Abroad i perfectly know the situation. In the article the writer mentions 5 solutions that do not work for me.

1. Solution 1: Leave it there on the table

2. Solution 2: Ask the person next to me to keep an eye it

3. Solution 3: Bring it in with me

4. Solution 4: Bring everything in with me

5. Solution 5: Lock the thing up

Here is my advice: for me the only thing that works, is to take care of what should be taken care of BEFORE you sit down. You might be afraid to lose this great table you spotted. I just ask someone to keep me the place and we re done.
