ARIEL SHARON WILL NEVER DIE

I usually blog about Israel in another blog as i already have enough to say here, but lately one event has captured everyone’s attention: Ariel Sharon’s Health. You all probably know that right now Israeli prime minister is struggling for his life after having gone through 2 brain strokes. He’s right now being treated at Hadassa Hospital in Jerusalem (in this link all the medical reports also here)

I wanted to share with you what the Israeli society is going through for the past 72 hours and also anticipate on what will probably happen.

First: this is THE NEWS. One year nearly after Yasser Arafat death, Sharon goes to hospital. All the media in Israel changed all their programs to report permanently on his health. As much as it is possible, cause nothing is really communicated. Of course. But not only in Israel, in most countries in the world this has become a top news, even in Arab countries, where Sharon is considered as a devil. Interesting thing also: “Ariel Sharon” is in the TOP10 of Technorati search.

What is amazing is the ART the media use to fill airtime with NO-INFORMATION: comments, assumptions, possible political scenarios, economical scenarios, review of his life (as if he were dead). It is as if we were being prepared to his death before the time…

IT S BETTER TO BE JOURNALIST

Bernard Planche, A french engineer has been kidnapped in Badgad for a few days now.

Unfortunately he s not journalist, that s why we don t here so much about it.Let s hope he gets out soon, though

That s what Iran president declared a few days ago…But wait a sec it is not so terrible… Iran also said a few days later, after a wordwide condemnation, that  actually Iran have nothing agains jews at all.

Now i feel much better…Our iranian friends wish to erase israel but do not wish to harm us at all. That s a good news! Just an advice if you wish to destroy Israel try to do it while Bill Gates is not around, this would really look bad

In a past post (funny sound isn t it?) i announced Bill Gates would be in Israel for one day. Actually it is TODAY 26/10. And he declared that Israel is a world leading High Tech center.

NOBEL PRIZE FOR ISRAEL

This surprising country is really taking the right direction. I feel it every day. Congratulation for that nobel prize of economy

ABOUT UNILATERAL DECISIONS

I usually don t like getting in politics, but it looks to me that Israel’s recent disengagement from Gaza is an outstanding historical fact because it will create a significant change in the peace process, because the way it was implemented is a example to the world of how well critical internal affairs can be managed/solved and because it provides to all nations a new positive insight on Israel situation long considered as a warrior country only interested in expanding.

I wish this was more stressed in the world reviews. So let’s wait now to see what s the next step. Will Palestinians take also a good unilateral decision? I know at least one who did: Arafat when he decided to unilaterally quit the (political) world.

PERNOD YES, BUT DANONE NO!

I wrote a lot about the pepsico/danone case. I think it said a lot about our political life and mentality. Today the acquisition of British Allied Domecq By the French Pernod Ricard (whose HQ is seating in front of Danone’s) is made official. No waves, No comments….

AMENA YES, BUT DANONE NO!

To close up the Danone/ Pepsico chapter:

• France Telecom is aquiring the spanish mobile operator AMENA. But did you hear any reactions from the spanish politicians about that? No. Why? Because these things happen and it is not of a government business (as long as market rules are respected)
• Pepsico declared today it is not intending to buy DANONE.

Much ado about nothing….
