The WOW effect of Imagini

Sometimes i get this WOW effect. Last time was for ENSO. Today is for the new imagini service called Christmas Gift Finder which suggests you gift ideas based on a short visual test. The user interface is just stunning (maybe a bit heavy on top right).

I also suggest you take their personality test which is really well done and will draw your visual DNA in a few seconds. You can also compare with millions of other users which is fun.

The user experience registration process and simplicity of the service deserves a full 10/10

First impressions on "The 300"

I was looking forward for a while and i had the chance to get a very early preview of The300 (number trailer in imdb)

• One of the most spectacular movie i have seen for a while
• The graphical/visual treatment is just stunning and respect well the creation of Frank miller’s graphic novel (batman and others)
• the story is interesting and dynamics are catching (although slow start)
• I think it will mark a new milestone in the way movies are conceived just as matrix or terminator did
• I could not tell if this was a movie/video game/comic/cartoon. The300 is a fusion of styles
• the actors are quite good and i was happy to discover new talents (like Gerald Butler)
• Zac Snyder who already signed the good Dawn of the dead is now in my Top 10 new generation most talented movie director

EXCLUSIVE JAZZCAST: meeting in personn with Yaron Herman

A lot of “first” those past 24h. Last night for the first time to listen to Yaron Herman in live Jazz concert. Thanks to Eran (big thanks man) i had the chance to spend some time with him the next day for a podcast. And this is the “first” podcast i am broadcasting here. So please apologies for imperfections (sound, me speaking maybe too much, mixing,…)

Yaron Herman is a very talented (and very cool ) young jazz pianist and i must say i was impressed by his level of maturity for his age (24) but mostly by his unusual approach to music (he started at age 16!). We talk about how he learned jazz, his inspirations, his projects and his new disc. Enjoy the podcast (Here to download)

 

Yaron also gave me persmission to include an extract of his first album. I chose the first minutes of “Hatikva”, the israeli national song.

MY 1st GOOGLE ANALYTICS REPORT

It really looks great and pro. I implemented google analytics 2 days ago. So data is still fresh, but I discover plenty of new great  information (the map and returning visitors is really useful, top 5 keywords that lead traffic). Thanks to Loic, Jeremie, Kelblog,  and… google for sending me some traffic. This report is only on 2 days. I compared it with Sitemeter.com and numbers of visits are equivalent but not page views. Let s wait a couple of days a compare again.

But it is definitely a great tool! 

PS: a tip. To implement this reports Google analytics ask you to place the html code in the “head” of your HTML web page, but on typepad you cannot play with that. I placed it on a typelist and it works perfectly.
