TechAviv, probably the best internet event and meetup in Israel for startups and entrepreneurs, is launching an angel club i am proud to be part of. I always said that Israel is lacking of infrastructure for seed funding. A few funds are doing so, but i think the scope could be bigger. The US market (and the european) gave birth to a new generation of structures specifically aimed at seeding funding (Ycombinator, Techstars, Betaworks,...). I am personally trying to help one in France (called ISAI.fr) and i am happy that Yaron Samid had the idea to create something going in that direction.
This angel club is composed of some [great] people with track record that will gather regularly to help, support and sometimes invest in new young startups. [startups you can apply in the next meetup here ]
I personally invested in 2 startups that are doing not to bad (wikio and ginger software, in addition to ISAI) and trying myself right now to start something. I know how valuable this will be for entrepreneurs and this is why i wanted to help TechAviv.
