I was complaining about the absence of mac version of babylon for mac. Actually i stumbled upon a cool solution which partly solves the issue: qtl
Qtl is a a FireFox plugin which restitutes Babylon translation service and experience while you browse the web. unfortunately it works only from the browser. I am sure there is a way to use it outside the browser when your laptop is connected to the internet.
If someone has an idea post it here.
Download the plug in here
Hi.
No I don't think there's a ready made solution, but it would be quite easy to program it (except the OCR thing babylon use).
I thought it could be a great idea to further expand this kind of browser plugin: When you right click a phrase, besides dictionary results, why not show also results from wikipedia, and, if exist, from sites like AllMusic, Whatis, IMDB, even Amazon etc using the web as a dictionary for music, books, economics, tech stuff etc.
Could be cool.

Thanks for that.
I've been looking for such a solution myself.(actually for a while now).
It works on my machine with Firefox 3 beta 4.

Thanks, when I saw it here I was very excited and added it.. It's a great tool.
However it can also be annoying at times- I'm used to highlighting various things I read online, and now it brings up Babylon. :)

Hi rutipo
You can configure the add-on top pop-up only when holding down ALT/CTRL key.
Visit http://qtl.co.il for more information.
