I don't know if you have been following the whole so called blog-Gate with Microsoft which i believe is totally ridiculous, since it would assume you need to disclose an ad-format is an ad-format.
Michael Arrington was among the targets of the attack. He wrote today what i personally consider as his best post ever addressing directly CNET that honestly does not understand what they are talking about. This is also probably the best answer to the often asked question of conflicts of interest with bloggers
I do not always agree with Mike attitude and ideas but on that one i totally support him.
I think as long as bloggers disclose they interest and place clearly ad formats in their blog the world should leave them alone.
I agree with you on that. New ads will be coming and disclosing them will be the key.
