- After services that let you call for free (skype and others)
- After services that let you listen to music for free (pandora or radioblog).
- After services that let you watch movies for free (peekvid i reported here)
> Here are the services that let you watch tvs for free from your computer. You can watch in streaming quality a very high selection of real TV channels on the internet without paying a dime.
There is no doubt those services will be shut down as they are not legal, but they start to be numerous and war against them will not be an easy one.
Those services let you access TONES of TV channels for free from all over the world including BBC news, ESPN…

- http://www.wwitv.com/ (by country)
- http://craftytv.com/ (tv shows)
- http://www.mediascrape.com/News/Home.aspx (more news based)
- and http://www.streamwired.com/ (premium with free trial)
Quality is not the best but HEY IT S FREE! That is just blowing me up. Btw, this is a reason more to believe that TV+COMPUTER is an inevitable merge.
So my question is: for when a service that will let you buy products for free?
Through Miguel
if you buy it it's not for free ;-)

Hi Ouriel,
Thanks for the links.
A quick comment though, I don't think you can qualify these services as illegal. I just tested ChannelChooser and saw it to be a link database for ad-supported (money) broadband channels set up by media groups : MTV Overdrive, SciFi, etc... Other available channels such as C-Span are funded expressly for widespread broadcasting.
The real losers here are the cable operators who better get into the broadband connection business !

The only service that strikes me as illegal is CraftyTV which charges users to see TV shows that are broadcast on premium cable (Sopranos, etc..).
The media groups are already "fighting back", check out abc.com and click on their Watch Online link. Their most popular shows : Lost, Greys's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives are available in streaming, with commercials, one day after their airdate. In doing so, ABC is acting as a web-based DVR for viewers who want to timeshift with their computer.
How about pairing all that with a SlingBox to get your TV+PC ?

What do you mean when will we have a service for buying products for free?! Its already here -> When did you last see a Web2.0 company (or idea) say they will CHARGE a customer for their product... I almost forgot such a business model exists ;)
