MY 1st GOOGLE ANALYTICS REPORT

It really looks great and pro. I implemented google analytics 2 days ago. So data is still fresh, but I discover plenty of new great  information (the map and returning visitors is really useful, top 5 keywords that lead traffic). Thanks to Loic, Jeremie, Kelblog,  and… google for sending me some traffic. This report is only on 2 days. I compared it with Sitemeter.com and numbers of visits are equivalent but not page views. Let s wait a couple of days a compare again.

But it is definitely a great tool! 

PS: a tip. To implement this reports Google analytics ask you to place the html code in the “head” of your HTML web page, but on typepad you cannot play with that. I placed it on a typelist and it works perfectly.

I just came across a press article in an italian newspaper that listed the exact number of cars torched in France since the beginning the “crisis”. I reproduce it here.

BLOGGING WITHOUT IPOD/GOOGLE/SKYPE

I would be curious to know how the blogosphere would be reduced if all posts about IPOD/GOOGLE/SKYPE were taken out. I read on average 20/30 blogs a day. It looks to me they take 50% the posts i am reading. Is it correct?

WIMAX : WI-FI WILL BE DEAD SOON

I just finished to install a wi-fi network at home. while doing that i was saying to myself “wait a sec” these guys are creating now a new wireless techno called WiMax which will enable me to be connected anywhere in a range a 20 to 30 kms. They created first wi-fi standard a, then b now g…It is even very likely that my ISP will offer soon a wifi package right away. So my 100 USD investment in wifi will soon be worthless.

In a word: WIMAX will replace WIFI. soon. This is a bet.

CHIRAC'S GLASSES

Yesterday, Jacques Chirac spoke on TV about the…..i mean the problem of …you know the….Well it does not matter.

I think it is the first time i saw him wearing glasses since he was prime minister a long time ago. I searched in google picture and i could not find any picture of him with glasses. Even in his website. What happenned suddenly? Some would say he’s going blind and does not see clearly what is happennng…or simply he had to wear them to read the screener? what do you think?

ZLIO IS COMING

My Friend Jeremi invited me to beta test Zlio a new web2.0 service. I cannot say much about it yet but from what i saw it is going to be very hot and popular among internet users if you wish to make some easy money.

BLOG TIP : POST WITH PICS

You want more traffic on your blog, include pictures (giving them a relevant name to be found) in your posts. I saw on my stats that 50% of my traffic is generated through google image search. Funny: but for that post i could not find any pics….

FREE SOUND PROJECT

Free sound project is an interesting collaborative initiative where you can find, tag, submit and rate free sounds. The website is well done (they have to place the search in a better position thought). You can hear the sound before downloading it (for free of course) and without download. Sounds are usually short so they have including a “repeat” function. Interesting feature they have “geo tags” sounds so you can find viually sounds coming from a special country (the metro of barcelona).
