I just came across a press article in an italian newspaper that listed the exact number of cars torched in France since the beginning the “crisis”. I reproduce it here.
- 27/10 : 23
- 28/10: 29
- 29/10: 20
- 30/10: 8
- 31/10: 68
- 01/11: 228
- 02/11: 315
- 03/11: 519
- 04/11: 897
- 05/11: 1295
- 06/11: 1408
- 07/11: 1173
- 08/11: 617
- 09/11: 482
- 10/11: 463
- 11/11: 502
- 12/11: 374
A total of 8421 torched cars. Just a number. No comments.
Sounds good for the car industry, just counting, not an opinion...

indeed! the "young" were complaining not to have enough job: now with all those cars missing all the industry will have to hire again :)

I am surprised by some of the numbers. Approximatively 100 cars burn every day all over the country, so I don't understand how the italian newspaper can get the "exact number", expecially the ones given for October.
Could you give the link to the original article please?

I had this information from the italian newspaper "la republica" dated of the 16/11/2005. Getting the information over the period was easy: it was reported by all the televisions of world daily. They just gathered the info and published it i guess
