…Is a total nightmare when you have to do it one by one. You have to review each picture and say for each one what are the key words that depicts them. Ok, once it is done, it s much better to review, search and share them, like on Flickr service. But before you have to spend hours to do it.
I discovered RIYA a new amazing service that does it automatically through a intelligent algorithm and that is able to identify say a face for each picture automatically once you have said that this personn on the pictures is called “my son”, or “daddy” or “paul”. Then it will tag all your pictures where Riya will recognize the face again….Revolutionnary
Hi Ouriel,
If you haven't done so already, check out MyHeritage, they have an interesting demo on myheritage.com showing their face recognition technology. So you can see it in action and test it instead of just imagining what it's capable of.

Ronit

Hey Ouriel,
(Gee, what are those MyHeritage.com people doing? Vanity searches for Riya? LOL)
Anyway, I've definitely added you to the Alpha list. I hope Riya meets your expectations.

Hey Tara,
I just heard you uploaded at least 5 different photos of your dead cat to the MyHeritage.com face recognition demo. Ever thought of getting professional help? You seem to be having some serious issues, maybe this will help you: http://www.dreamwv.com/shrink/shrink.html :-)
BTW, Ouriel, did you get a chance to look at the demo yet?

Ronit, I did try your service.
I uploaded my picture and i must i was impressed by the User Interface and the ability of your algorithm to detect faces. But the results for comparison were not so convincing (pierce brosnan for eg...)
However i tried to upload a picture of a chinese bill with mao tse tong picture and the result was perfect.
I think the true interest will be to have that compared with a real database of several hundreds of thousands of pictures. That would be amazing.
Tara, waiting to receive your invitation for testing the alpha version.
PS: Ronit/Tara maybe you could take your conversation offline?
