I must have received the question 10 times at least today. Here are the companies that are Israeli or Israeli related and that were selected as finalists at TechCrunch50 conference.
There are 6 startups exactly. The ratio selected/country is pretty high (more than 10%) and i think Israel would come #2 after the US in representation. Only 1 is French (and 1 is US but started by a French entrepreneur)
There are more many more companies represented here, VCs also. Kind of a small world. I discussed with all of them and they are actually doing pretty interesting stuff. i am very happy to see that
Update: 2 new companies to be added. VideoSurf and IamNews from Nir Ofir, prize of the public (congrats Nir!!!). This is 9 companies out of 52. This is pretty amazing i must say for Israel super represented this year.
