Toda Rava

The Third ManEnrico Rava (trumpet) and Stefano Bollani (Piano) came from Italy to Israel for a great jazz concert a few days ago. I was there and i was surprised to see the Opera was packed. Would jazz become popular in Israel? that would be a good news.

They played a selection of composition (mostly from their album easy living and Third Man that i have been listening for some time and that i recommend) and a few standards (Jobim's Bringa Nunca Mais and Retrato in Bramco i Negro and Fred Aster's Cheek to Cheek). I really enjoyed the concert. Stefano Bollani is always a great entertainer on scene (a real clown) but the presence of Rava made him this time more focused on the music than the show and the pure technic (which is amazing and one of the best in the world).

However he could not help saying at some moment "Toda Rava". Below a video of them playing Cheek to Cheek i found on youtube
