No doubt to me: Twitter is the best Q&A service out there. Twitter raises series B

Twitter is often described as a great communication channel, but to me there is one thing twitter is best at: providing a great question and answer service. Probably the best one out there. Yes even better than Yahoo answers and co. Before i wrote this post i have made my case on several opportunities and it is a 100% success rate.

I use twitter very simply: i just ask a question. Usually i get answers within seconds. The question i ask is usually not so simple "what is the best way to order food on the internet in Tel aviv", "What is the best software to deduplicate itunes songs...". I could find the answer using google or other recommandation or Q&A services. But with Twitter i get the best answer within seconds. and it works

Here is a case from yesterday. i had a hard time asking it in words so i took a picture and edited it. Sent it over to twitter. Within seconds i had more than 10 answers both in twitter and flickr where the photo was hosted (adding a picture increase the response rate).




i don't know any other service that can within seconds provide you great answers to complex questions. This is of great value and twitter should use that to build its business model. I assume this is also what their new investors (GigaOM is breaking the news of a 15m USD series B) believe although i believe the business model will be eventually more complex that than. They first have to build a reliable stable service.
