Microsoft/Google, neighbors by the sea

In Israel, Microsoft and Google live close to each other, but compete for the same brains and sometimes the same users.

Yep, on the right is the MS R&D Center in Haifa but the bulk of MS operations in Israel run from Raanana, a quiet, residential City not far from Tel Aviv.

Do you have more info of what kind of offices is it?
Is it R&D to adapt the SW to Israeli market or it it a Worldwide center of R&D to develop new Software?
If I remember INtel, IBM and so many Hi tech companies are based in Haifa
