What is happening with mediafire.com?
Mediafire is a great file sharing site.
For some days now it looks to be down. Does someone know what is happening?

Ouriel, it seems like your favorite mediafire started blocking certain countries, the list of countries affected seems to be large.
So much for the "best" of the bunch.

Add a proxy and you're done ,I.E proxy.myisp.net(.il).
It's not a block, pretty sure about it, I think they would have posted a notification on it on the blogs (which since they're on a different domain), besides, while surfing you appear to the site on the same IP even when through a local proxy.
