Yes, great presentation and nice video. It is actually shot by Luc van Braekel: http://lvb.net/english.php

Only lunatic Europeans could swallow the idiosyncrasies of Mr
Shimon Peres.
Armies , at least in developped countries , were always at the forefront of new cutting edge technologies that created many spin offs in the civilian business.
Where does the Internet come from , Mr Peres?
Where does VOIP come from , Mr Peres ?
Where does the Israeli high tech miracle come from , at least partially , Mr Peres ?

Well deserved ovation, too. Much to disagree with in his speech, but it was well-argued and, in places, very inspiring.

The standing ovation was staged and was not spontaneous.
Posted by: Paul | 17 December 2006 at 04:27 PM
Paul, ah yeah? and the positive feeback on the internet is also staged? come on this is becoming ridiculous? and why do you hide your true identity? afraid to be recognized?
Posted by: ouriel | 17 December 2006 at 04:35 PM
It was not entirely spontaneous.
Period.Who said that one has a true identity ?
Posted by: Paul | 17 December 2006 at 07:25 PM
I say it. and that s better than a vague and ridiculous "It was not entirely spontaneous" coming from a so called Paul@Paul.com.

You are right. You are always right...
Posted by: Paul | 17 December 2006 at 07:48 PM
did you thought about making something like that in Israel?
Posted by: lior | 20 December 2006 at 09:38 AM
Hans, nobody denies what you're saying, only you talk about the past and Peres' enlightening presentation about the present!
Is there a transcript available of this speech?

I meant Paul not Hans, sorry!
