In spite of all the noise in the blogosphere about those potential acquisition both founders of face recognition service RIYA and browser OPERA have finally decided to announce those are just rumours.

BUT, we also know it is a classic to deny an aquisition in media in phases of negociation: one of the reason could be to maintain the clause of “exclusivity phase of negotiation” with potential buyer.

Anyway, it shows how the blogosphere can make a rumour very noisy, and how smart start up can use them to raise their awareness
